They are telling lies about the Church...

Help us set the record straight...

March 6, 2013 2:00 a.m.

Dear Friend  and all interested parties,

New reports rocketed around the world yesterday saying the Vatican is working with Russia and Iran to stop protections for women in violent situations. They are implying that the Catholic Church does not care about violence against women.

THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE FALSEHOOD.

There is a very important meeting going on at the UN right now called the UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW). The purpose of the meeting is to write a document that will later be "ratified" by the UN General Assembly.

This meeting, called the CSW, is always the scene of much maliciousness, often directed at unborn children. The meeting is packed with 6,000 radical feminist activists.

The radicals are reporting, and this has been picked up by the mainstream press, that the Holy See is in cahoots with Iran and Russia to stymie efforts to protect women from violence. The purpose of these false charges is quite clear; it is to hurt the Church and her negotiating position in the current negotiations.

What is really going on is the Vatican is attempting to take abortion-related language out of the document. The Vatican is working with a number of states to remove "reproductive rights" from the document.

I URGE ALL REPORTERS, BLOGGERS, GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS, AND ACTIVISTS TO TELL YOUR READERS AND YOUR CONSTITUENCIES THAT THESE CHARGES ARE BASELESS LIES. DO IT NOW.

I would also point out that the reason you are receiving this important correction to the record is because of the Friday Fax and our personnel who were in the UN today and will be there tomorrow and the next day and the next, all during this important CSW conference.

We will beat back the radicals and we will fight all their falsehoods and we will help as best we can all the faithful UN delegations trying to help the unborn child.

But, the Friday Fax and our presence at UN headquarters is not free. In fact, it is terribly expensive. Would you be able to make a sacrificial donation to our work of $500? $100? $50?

It is very expensive to put out the Friday Fax, but as you can see it is often the only outlet that knows the truth and tells the truth about what happens at the UN.

I estimate it costs $200,000 per year to publish the Friday Fax. That includes small salaries for our team at the UN. That includes very expensive office space. Phones. Computers. Electricity. Printing. Postage. We even pay $2400 per month to send out emails (emails are not free when you send out 20 million a year).

The Friday Fax is crucial for the international fight for life. Please help us right now.

We will be reporting further on the anti-Catholic shenanigans going on at the UN on Thursday. So stay tuned...in the mean time, please help our cause.

Yours sincerely,

Austin Ruse
President

PS I urge all reporters and bloggers to repeat by words. These charges are false. They are an attempt to stop pro-life delegations from protecting unborn children. There is not a shred of truth in these heinous reports.
