Last Thursday, the United Nations (UN) officially launched the 鈥淚nternational Year of Youth鈥 (IYY) in the UN General Assembly Hall.聽 The theme for the year is 鈥淒ialogue and Mutual Understanding,鈥 with a focus on health and development, particularly the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).聽 But some observers fear that the IYY agenda has been taken over by the UN Population Fund (UNFPA) and its allies who are using it to promote new 鈥渞ights鈥 to sexual and reproductive health education and services for young people. The term 鈥渁dolescent reproductive health鈥 is now used by UNFPA and other international organizations to promote sexual and reproductive rights, including access to contraception and abortion, for young people between the ages of 10-14. 聽

  Caritas Internacional advierte que un recorte en los fondos para programas de lucha contra el VIH en el mundo har谩 retroceder veinte a帽os la campa帽a contra el sida. Lo ha dicho ante la Conferencia Internacional sobre esta enfermedad que se celebra del 18 al 23 de julio en Viena.

 Cada d铆a nos llega, grande o peque帽o, un aluvi贸n de hechos de los que deben extraerse conclusiones. Por ejemplo, la resoluci贸n del TC denegando la suspensi贸n de la Ley del Aborto es en si misma una mala noticia, pero tiene m谩s lecturas de las que no podemos prescindir. Una es que el resultado fue muy ajustado, considerando el dato de que el TC pr谩cticamente nunca admite la suspensi贸n de una ley. 聽 聽
